Qualifications & Experience required:
- Graduated in IT related Masters.
- One/Two years of basic coding experience (PHP/ASP/Java/Perl/Python).
- 6 months of hands on, RoR experience
- Evidence of building a minimum of 2 Rails personal applications, (in spare time).
- Responsibility for modules, from start to completion.
Job Profile:
Working as part of a team, taking ownership and creating individual modules for integration into larger Web 2.0 projects.
- Taking responsibility of assigned tasks, assessing and highlighting any doubts.
- Completing quality functional modules within agreed timescales and to a high standard/specification.
- Working at the cutting edge of technology (in Ajax, RoR, Flash).
- Developing applications for Orkut, Facebook & MySpace.
- Utilizing Open Source API's such as Google Maps & Oauth.
- Exploring and integrating communication protocol such as jabber.
- Actively involved in team meetings to share thoughts, generate ideas and find solutions.
- Researching and implementing new open source technologies and solutions.
- Sharing with and training others in newly researched technologies.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and organizational information.
- Take on additional tasks as and when required.
